The Keystone Chapter is one of the local chapters of the National Federation of the Blind of Pennsylvania (NFBP). The NFBP is an affiliate of the larger National Federation of the Blind (NFB), an organization who believes in the full potential and possibilities of all blind people to achieve their dreams. Through our work at the local level, the Keystone Chapter’s goal is to promote the equality and independence of blind people in the community through education, outreach, and advocacy. Above all, we represent and demonstrate a positive attitude about blindness. We believe that it is respectable to be blind.
The Keystone Chapter of National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
If you would like to get involved, and be a part of, this great organization, come join the Keystone Chapter of the NFBP. We meet in Philadelphia on the second Saturday of each month at 10:15 AM.
